C.O.M.M. offers opportunities for learning through hands-on experiences and guest speakers. The ISU Documentary Project:

The ISU Documentary Project empowers undergraduate and graduate students through the operation of video production equipment and cross-disciplinary instruction on social, educational, medical, and political issues that affect citizens of Illinois and the United States. The ISU Documentary Project also sponsors the Documentary Project Socio-Political Film Festival and a documentary film festival that screens documentaries, preferably produced by students, that concern political and social issues. Student Television Workshop (STW) produces many entertaining programs that air on Campus Cable. Students participate in various areas of television, including pre- and post-production, such as writing, editing, acting, and photography. WGLT is a service of Illinois State University and an NPR member station. WGLT is a professional radio station that provides diverse news and music programming for a growing audience. The mission of WZND is to provide practical experience and training for all ISU students interested in the radio broadcasting industry. WZND operates as a complete on-air student radio station. In addition to music, WZND features promotions, news, sports, and provides live ISU sports coverage.
