Communication Opportunities for Majors and Minors (C.O.M.M.) provides professional and interactive expereinces for students. C.O.M.M. offers opportunities for learning through hands-on experiences and guest speakers. Members understand the importance of communication in the world and strive to develop skills through knowledge and practice.
The ISU Documentary Project:
The ISU Documentary Project empowers undergraduate and graduate students through the operation of video production equipment and cross-disciplinary instruction on social, educational, medical, and political issues that affect citizens of Illinois and the United States. The ISU Documentary Project also sponsors the Documentary Project Socio-Political Film Festival and a documentary film festival that screens documentaries, preferably produced by students, that concern political and social issues. Student Television Workshop (STW) produces many entertaining programs that air on Campus Cable. Students participate in various areas of television, including pre- and post-production, such as writing, editing, acting, and photography. TV-10 provides students with outstanding opportunities to practice television production and journalism techniques. TV-10 produces a live, local, daily newscast which airs on Campus Cable and Comcast Cable for theBloomington-Normal community.
