
Kaitie, a senior public relations major, has been a member of ISU PRSSA since fall 2010. She served as the Chapter’s vice president during the 2011-2012 academic year. She has previously interned for ISU Habitat for Humanity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois and the ISU College of Business. During the summer of 2011, Kaitie studied abroad in Paris, France, with the School of Communication, where she took classes in international marketing as well as intercultural communication. She has previously worked as a teaching assistant for Reporting I (COM 165) and as a student blogger for the Office of Admissions. This year, Kaitie is a teaching assistant for Introduction to Public Relations (COM 178), the social media assistant for the ISU Office of Admissions and a media relations intern for COUNTRY Financial.

Lisa is a junior public relations major with a minor in political science. As an member of the Chapter since last year, she served as PRi account executive for Illinois State Redbird Hockey and J-News. In addition to PRSSA, she has worked at the Daily Vidette as a news reporter and is in her second year as a student blogger for the Office of Admissions. Lisa is currently the public relations and marketing intern for the 2012-2013 academic year at Heartland Community College.

Kyle is a senior public relations major with a minor in business administration. He has been a member of ISU PRSSA since fall of 2011. In March, he had the privilege to represent the Chapter and serve as the 2011-2012 national delegate. He has previously interned with the Normal CornBelters Professional Baseball Club and West Suburban Travelers Limousine. Kyle is a teaching assistant for Introduction to Public Relations (COM 178). While not doing PRSSA work, Kyle can be found working on the clothing company he co-owns, Void Clothing.

Bruce is a senior public relations major. He has been a member of ISU PRSSA since spring 2011 and has also served as the director of relations. In October of 2011, he began working as an account executive for City Dance, a non-profit dance studio in Peoria.

Kelsey is a junior communication studies major with a minor in civic engagement and responsibility. She previously interned with the Normal Cornbelters and at Fairmount Minerals. Kelsey also previously served as the 2011-2012 director of PRogressive Image, where she oversaw three different clients and helped coordinate multiple events. Kelsey joined PRSSA for the 2011-2012 school year after transferring from Illinois Valley Community College.

Kimberly is a senior public relations major with a minor in criminal justice. She has been an active member of the development committee of ISU PRSSA since August 2011. Kimberly joined PRSSA for the 2011-2012 school year after transferring from Joliet Junior College. This past summer she completed an internship in the ad sales department at MTV Networks in Chicago. She is currently an intern for the 2012-2013 School of Communication Promotions and Development Team, heading the Career Institute.

Dr. Pete Smudde, APR, associate professor and coordinator of public relations, has been a faculty advisor for PRSSA chapters for eight years. He has worked in industry, including an executive-level position and a consultant; led university courses and conference sessions; and published many works on public relations.
