General Support

Those that wish to donate to the School of Communication general fund should use the following link: School of Communication (General Fund) . The School of Communication, recognized as a top program for undergraduate and graduate study, must maintain its leadership position among its peers. You can help keep that leadership position with contributions to the School's general fund. Your donation will support:

Choose Your Passion

You can specify how you would like a donation to be used. Your entire contribution, i.e., 100% of each dollar, will be used according to your specifications; there are no administrative charges that will reduce your financial gift. You may call (309) 438-3671 to pledge your support or give online to any of the following mission critical areas:

Forensics

Endowment for Forensics Fund

Secure the future of the Forensics program by directing funds to scholarships to recruit and retain deserving students, and the endowment fund to ensure travel and competition certainty.

TV-10

TV-10 is Bloomington-Normal's only locally produced television newscast, and it needs to replace its electronic news gathering (ENG) gear, which is used three times daily as students cover news and sports stories. Technology has advanced greatly since we acquired these units more than seven years ago, which means students are missing out on learning through using the latest gear.

WZND

WZND needs your help to continue its delivery of both quality on-air programming and educational experiences for students. A donation to WZND today would help fund a technology upgrade in the FM studio ($5,000), improvements to the front desk/reception area ($2,000), and student travel to professional conferences, including BEA/NAB in Las Vegas. Donations also help fund engineering-related expenses for equipment maintenance and installation.

The Vidette

Computers, internet connectivity and IT support are vital to any office setting, particularly a student-run communications lab like The Vidette. Because The Vidette operates in its own building, it is responsible for maintaining telecommunication connections and the necessary IT support. To assist The Vidette's aggressive digital evolution, your help in defraying some or all of the annual bill (over $16,000) will help sustain The Vidette's mission.
