Biography

As a child, Jenifer Bowman was called “bright but talkative,” which obviously lead to her studying Corporate Communication at Olivet Nazarene University. From there, she earned her Master's in Communication at Illinois State University, and she currently serves ISU as an instructor in courses such as Communication Theory, Interviewing, Interpersonal Communication and Nonverbal Communication. Jenifer brings an ongoing passion for theory and helping others discover and hone their interpersonal skills.

I am an instructional faculty member specializing in Communication Studies, with a focus on helping students connect theory to everyday life. I teach courses such as Communication as Critical Inquiry, Communication Theory, Interpersonal Communication, Nonverbal Communication, and Communication in Professional Practice (Interviewing). My approach emphasizes practical application and student engagement.
