Who Are We?
The Vidette Online is the online outlet for content written and created by the staff of The Vidette. The Vidette provides ISU students with professional work experience and serves as the university community's daily newspaper. The Vidette is not simply a student newspaper of campus news, but rather a complete morning newspaper covering international, national, state and local news. The Vidette offers in-depth features and reviews, columnists and cartoonists. The Vidette publishes approximately 6,000 issues a day Monday and Thursday during the school year. The Vidette also publishes 5,000 issues Wednesdays during the summer term. The Vidette is dedicated to the pursuit of truth, excellence and providing its readers with the knowledge they deserve.
Student Roles
The Vidette is the student newspaper at Illinois State University and is always looking for new, motivated students to join its staff. Here at The Vidette there are many opportunities to get real life experience in jobs that students may consider doing when they graduate. The best part is that all positions at The Vidette are paid positions.
