Black Communication Association

Circle with a map in front and a fist on the map. The colors on the logo are black, green, red, representing the Pan-African flag.

The Black Communication Association is the only RSO sponsored by the School of Communication that centers on the experiences of Black/African diasporic people. The underlying objective of BCA is to serve and unify all Black students within Illinois State University by addressing their needs and polishing their communication skills. This shall be accomplished by providing spaces for critical discussion, debate, analysis, inclusion, and service related to Black people's past, present, and future. Furthermore, we seek to educate, communicate, understand, and provide detailed knowledge of Black experiences to help improve the lives of African diasporic people inside and outside campus.
